General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

In order to avoid misunderstandings, I would like to familiarize you with the general terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. If you have any questions or uncertainties, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Number of participants

The number of participants is limited to eight per course. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Minimum age

The minimum age for course participation is 18 years.

Payment of Course Fees

After registration, you will receive an invoice with a payment slip. The invoice must be paid by the payment deadline stated on the invoice, but no later than 10 days before the course begins.

Registration is binding and obliges the participant to pay the course fee. Non-payment of the course fee does not constitute cancellation.

In the event of late payment, a reminder fee of CHF 10.– will be charged with the first reminder. A reminder fee of CHF 30.– will be charged for a second reminder. In the event of repeated late payment, we reserve the right to exclude the participant from the course.

No refund of the course fee will be granted for courses not attended or for individual course days missed.

Cancellation

Cancelling a course registration involves administrative work. We therefore charge an administrative fee of CHF 30.–. If the cancellation is made less than one week before the start of the course, the full course fee is payable.

Making Up Missed Lessons

Missed lessons cannot be made up. This also applies in cases of illness or absence, e.g. holidays, of the participant.

If a course day cannot take place due to the course instructor being unavailable, it will be added at the end of the course block.

There are no courses during official holidays.

Materials

Materials are not included unless this is explicitly mentioned in the course description (e.g. sewing course for beginners).

Delivery of the course and duration

The implementation of the course and its consideration is subject to change.

A sewing course normally lasts 8 consecutive weeks on the same day of the week at the same time.

Overlock workshops take place on a Saturday.

Sewing courses for beginners take place on a Saturday or two times at Tuesday Afternoon.

Pattern courses take place every 14 days on four predefined half-days.

As a rule, it is not possible to jump from one course to another. Special arrangements and offers reserved.

Machines brought along

Machines brought along (e.g. overlock machines) must be in working order. There is no entitlement to make up or refund the course due to a defective machine.

Insurance

Insurance is the responsibility of the participant, any liability for damage is rejected.

Damage to equipment, in particular to sewing machines and appliances, will be charged to the participant, especially if this is due to improper use. The instructions of the course instructor must be strictly followed.

Place of jurisdiction

The place of jurisdiction is Möhlin or the competent court.
