General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

To avoid any misunderstandings, I would like to familiarise you with the following General Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. Should you have any questions or require clarification, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Number of Participants

The number of participants is limited to eight people per course. Places are allocated in the order in which registrations are received.

Minimum Age

The minimum age for participation in a course is 18.

Payment of Course Fees

After registering, you will receive an invoice with a payment slip. The invoice must be paid by the due date stated on it, but no later than 10 days before the start of the course.

Registration is binding and obliges the participant to pay the course fee. Failure to pay the course fee does not constitute cancellation.

In the event of late payment, an administrative fee of CHF 10 will be charged with the first payment reminder. A fee of CHF 30 will be charged for a second payment reminder. In the event of repeated late payment, we reserve the right to exclude the participant from the course.

No refund will be issued for courses not attended or individual course days missed.

Cancellation and Costs

Registration is binding. The date on which we receive the cancellation determines the applicable cancellation charge.

The following charges apply in the event of cancellation:

* More than 30 calendar days before the start of the course: administrative fee of CHF 30

* 30 to 15 calendar days before the start of the course: 30% of the course fee

* 14 to 11 calendar days before the start of the course: 50% of the course fee

* 10 calendar days or less before the start of the course: 100% of the course fee

A transfer to another course date is only possible up to 10 days before the start of the course and is subject to sufficient availability.

In the event of non-attendance, late arrival at the course or early withdrawal from the course, the full course fee remains payable. This also applies to cancellations for personal, professional or health-related reasons.

The cancellation charges will be waived if the cancelling participant arranges for a suitable replacement participant in good time, who takes over the booked place and pays the course fee in full. The replacement participant must meet all requirements for participation in the course.

There is no entitlement to a refund or credit.

Making Up Missed Lessons

Missed lessons cannot be made up. This also applies if the participant is absent due to illness, holidays or other reasons.

If a course day cannot take place because the course instructor is unavailable, the missed lesson will be added at the end of the course block.

No courses are held on official public holidays.

Materials

Materials are not included unless explicitly stated otherwise in the course description, for example in the beginner sewing course.

Course Delivery and Duration

We reserve the right to decide whether a course will take place and whether an applicant can be accepted for participation.

A sewing course normally runs for eight consecutive weeks, on the same weekday and at the same time each week.

Other courses take place on the dates specified in the respective course description.

Pattern-making courses take place every two weeks on four half-days scheduled in advance.

Changing from one course to another is generally not possible. Special arrangements and offers remain reserved.

Machines Brought by Participants

Machines brought to the course, such as overlock machines, must be in proper working order. There is no entitlement to make up a lesson or receive a refund if a participant’s machine is defective.

Insurance and Liability

Participants are responsible for arranging their own insurance. Any liability for damage or injury is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Any damage to the premises or equipment, in particular sewing machines and other devices, must be paid for by the participant, especially if the damage results from improper use.

The instructions of the course instructor must be followed at all times.

Place of Jurisdiction

The place of jurisdiction is Möhlin or the legally competent court.
